“Her Pantomime”
As I explore the biographies of women across generations I’ve noticed that women tend to perform various roles in small pantomime plays every day in the name of social acceptance, workplace cohesion, meeting family needs and supporting friends.
But what of their own essence and needs, their struggles, empowerment & dreams - the roles that are real and not performed for others.
Her Pantomime is a mixed media labor of love. She is hours of embroidery, collage, paint, glue and digital work.
Mixed media dramatizes the texture & detail of the roles women play in their everyday Pantomime.
Her Pantomime is 1200x600mm on wooden board.
