I am a mixed media visual artist who is passionate about texture - the texture of life.
I am fascinated by the biographies of women throughout generations - their struggles, empowerment and dreams. I explore the biographies of women through collage and assemblage. I am curious about the extent that they are empowered to express their hopes, dreams and talents in the face of societal and familial constructs.
My collage subject matter often uses images of young women living in the 1950’s juxtaposed with collaged material suggesting, goals, dreams and potential.
My sculptural work is raw and vibrant with subtle messages about moving forward and celebration enveloped in the assemblage.
